Using precision transducers and force actuators, we measured how selected JJF boards performed in the lab, learning the unique signature of flex, torsion and various other data points that make these boards feel ‘magic’.
Variable Stiffness Engineering.
This data capture helps map dynamic zones of stiffness and flexibility, providing a digital blueprint for precision engineering with advanced composites and is an unprecedented breakthrough for replicating the mechanical properties.
Surfing Simulation & Optimization.
In collaboration with Autodesk, we use Fusion 360 advanced 3D software to build robust 3D models to test, simulate and digitally optimize the exact placement of reinforcement filaments.
Composite Spring Tuning.
From these digital simulations, we refine the filament placement to ensure the final design and advanced manufacturing is fully optimized to exact rider specification.
The final design is precision engineered and meticulously handcrafted using advanced technologies and materials to create a fully optimized and unprecedented higher-performance and lower-impact 4D SUPERCHARGED™ surfboard.
